The
following features apply to both Viper machines, except where
stated:
The unit can be operated via the
on-board control panel at the back of the machine. The smoke
'on' function is latching, so you can leave it to make smoke
continuously without keeping your finger held on the button.
Internal timer
Timer control is via the control panel on the machine. The
fog time can be exactly adjusted in seconds, the interval
between fog production in minutes and the output in %.
Control panel
The control panel has an LED display and uses simple controls
for easy operation. The panel is covered to protect it against
dirt.
Remote Control
The machine can be controlled via 'analogue' (0 - 10 V) via
a lighting desk or via XLR remote control (optional extra).
This connection is via 3 pin XLR plug.
DMX 512 as standard
The VIPER can be controlled via DMX 512.
The connection is a standard 5 pin XLR plug. The DMX start
address can be adjusted and saved via the control panel.
Fine adjustments
of fog output
Digital technology allows you to make fine adjustments of
the pump possible. In 100 steps of 1% the output can be adjusted
from 0 - 99%. So any desired effect from a small wisp to a
large thick cloud of fog can be produced. This enables the
VIPER to be used in both small and large locations.
Connector for
external fan - Viper 2.6 only
An external fan (with maximum 800 watt consumption)
can be connected to the VIPER 2.6 model. Once connected to
the machine, the fan can also be adjusted via DMX. The machine
then uses two following channels at the desk.
