SMOKE MACHINE LOCATIONS
Celebrity Big Brother 2005
At each side of the main Big Brother building at
Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire we believe was a Jem ZR33, set to
produce fog for around 1 second every 10. The timer was also manually
over-ridden at appropriate times to give visibility to light beams
from luminaires positioned along the roof of the building. When surprise
evictions took place, the gathered audience outside were asked to
keep silent. The fog machines could be heard on their timer cycle
when the presenter was doing pieces to camera. However, when Lisa
I'Anson was given a surprise eviction, the fog machines were operated
for quite a while which fogged the area near the machine where the
press photographers are positioned to take photographs of the evictee.
As they use strong flashes, many of the shots were fogged with the
flash light reflecting off the fog particles. On the next eviction,
the fog machine was not operated at that time again.

incorrect.
