Spaceship Earth, Epcot
Opened in 1982 and based inside the familiar 'geosphere' at Epcot in Florida, Spaceship Earth is a dark ride where travellers journey back in time to the dawn of man to see the history of communication though the ages and on into the future. A spectacluar experience, it has so far had 3 refurbishments which included re-recording the narration each time (Walter Kronkite, Jeremy Irons and now Judi Dench).

Smoke effects can be seen throughout the attraction, including sea mists around the Phonecian merchants' ships, coming from fire torches in the caveman and Egyptian scenes, Rome's torches, the burning of Rome, and in other scenes including the printing press. These are likely to be water mist systems due to their continuous operation.

It is quite dark on the ride and therefore difficult to take photographs! There are a couple of "on-ride with the lights on" videos on YouTube from a special event.
