SFX Ltd provide the special effects for this weekly spectacular. Aside from the Le Maitre prostage 2 pyro effects such as gerbs, mines and air bursts, the studio uses oil-based haze which is easy on the voices of the contestants and fine enough to have long range zoom shots. For heavy fog in ballads, SFX use a Le Maitre FreezeFog Pro and new G Force 3 fog machine which fills the stage via two ducted outlets with a blanket of thick heavy fog.
