Review of: Rosco 1700
A large and rugged build for a Rosco smoke machine (or fog machine as it's labelled) which has an excellent timer remote control (which bears striking resemblance to the remotes for the Jem ZR12 / ZR33). The remote can be screwed onto the back of the unit, effectively 'parking' it, creating a self-contained portable unit. Rosco are good at this!

Supposedly replacing the 1600 (although the 1600 seems to live on years after it was supposed to have been superceeded with the 1700) the 1700 is a lot larger and appears to be more 'mass produced' (in the nicest possible way, of course!). This would explain the price tag - less that half the price of the 1600. Still, Rosco has a well respected name in the theatrical world, and fog machines like these are also seen in firefighter training centres.! A choice of fluids is available for various aplications.
