Nemesis, Alton Towers At the Nemesis ride at Alton Towers in the UK, a Spirit 900 is placed at the front of an old wrecked bus which has fallen down a cliff, that periodically spews out smoke from the front radiator into the path of the ride carriage as it swoops perilously close to it. There's another smoke machine in a Nemesis 'teaser' upon entering the rides area in that part of the park, which shows a part of the 'creature' with the ride waiting times.
